The Golf Clap

This is the first post to this blog, so you might be new to the concept of wicked satisfying things. That’s okay. You’ll catch on as we go.

So onto our first satisfying thing - the Golf Clap. I capitalize it because you have to realize exactly how important It is. This is one of the first things that comes to mind when thinking of something satisfying, and you know why? Because it’s versatile. No longer reserved solely for the back nine, you could encounter this aural gem in many situations, and that spontaneity is partly what makes it so exciting. Imagine, going about your daily routine, and then, out of nowhere, you encounter the Golf Clap and have a moment of true satisfaction. That’d make just about any day better, now wouldn’t it?
So what makes the Golf Clap better than another type of applause? Whether it’s indoor or outdoor, the Golf Clap has that muted, full-bodied sound that generic clapping can’t even touch. It involves some skill in cupping the hands perfectly in order to get the full benefit. If you keep your hands flat and just smack them together, you get a weak, flat, disappointing clap. Completely unsatisfying.
Other situations when encountering the Golf Clap may include the conclusion of a meeting or presentation with a small audience, any type of outdoor ceremony such as a wedding or graduation, and, if the acoustic conditions are right, the moment following blowing out the candles at a birthday party.
