Sometimes winning back the money can make it worse because you’re no better off than you started yet you still feel like you could buy another ticket and hopefully win.

I really enjoyed reading your piece about the satisfaction of scratching lottery tickets. I ,for one, am hooked on this “portable slot machine” as you called them.

I walk every morning and I use the excuse of buying one of these babies to get me to a certain store where I know I will
have my allotted waklking time. I just scratched one and only won back my money,unfortunately, but there is always tomorrow.
