Spiky Anime Hair
Apr 28th, 2008 by satisfyte
I’ll be the first to admit that I neither enjoy nor particularly understand the appeal of Anime. My love for videogames runs deep and I will say that I’ve encountered plenty of Anime-style characters, but I’m not one to sit down and read Manga or anything. That said, I think it’s pretty clear to Anime-lovers and non-Anime fans alike that Anime hair is wicked satisfying to look at.
Anime characters are strange, because they’re these big, doe-eyed creatures of ambiguous heritage with crazy voices that don’t accurately match up with their mouth movements. But their hair is undeniably awesome. Big, spiky, falling in the face yet perfectly tousled. No amount of gel, pomade or hair wax could create these mop top masterpieces in real life, and good thing, because it would look ridiculous if real people’s hair was of that…er…magnitude.
I tend to like the guys’ hair better than the girls’, but they can both be awesome if drawn in the right style. I mean, look at the characters from Final Fantasy…any of them. Wispy without being too detailed, smooth yet spiky and bright. When it comes to satisfaction in videogames and beyond, Anime hair, I choose you!

ah no you didn’t. cloud strife is one of the most hotest anime characters i ever seen and i seen alot of anime characters. i look them up all night and all day. and no that thing is not a door knocker thank you very much. it is one of his prised posetions and is a symbol of his life and quite frankly he aint doe eyed and if you think he is i actually start to think that your doe eyed.look you are so messed up man i mean u have just missed everythin! you are so lame.anyways somthing actually tells me you need to actually look up this guy before you write about him!
My apologies that you’re offended Kristina. overall this post was actually pointing out how awesomely satisfying anime hair is, but I think you may have missed that point somewhere.
Door knocker or not, it sure looks like one, don’t you think? Like maybe this one? http://www.blackcountrymetalworks.co.uk/product_images/Lion-large_0000043131.gif or this one? http://www.dragon-art-work.com/dragon-head-with-goat-horns-door-knocker-with-skull.htm . Also, I’m not sure you quite understand what doe-eyed means, since I’m pretty sure you were attempting to insult me somehow. It just means someone has big, beautiful eyes. So in actuality, you just gave me a compliment, so thanks!
Sounds like maybe you need to take a break from looking up anime characters “night and day” as you say, and get a little fresh air and interact with real people instead of obsessing over avatars. Learning how to spell wouldn’t be too bad of an idea either, though I can understand that perhaps a dictionary isn’t one of your “prised posetions”.
I completely agree with you. Anime hair is always strangely satisfying to look at, it must be the tousled perfection.
